Killyleagh U10's
The "wee tens" are setting the pace in the U-10 League. They've already won the League Cup and are currently two points clear of Shamrocks with 12 matches to go. Keeper Connor Brennan is on course to break the club record of clean sheets. At the moment he has 10 and looks set to break the record of 13, which he and Gary Murdock hold. Captain Marvel Gary Carberry is starring in midfield and is top scorer with 20 goals, right behind him is Jamie Sharvin who has 18. Jamie holds the club record for scoring in 10 consecutive matches.

Killyleagh Boy's U14
After a slow start to the season we have been unbeaten in the last 5 games which has seen them climb the table from bottom to a respectable Mid-Field position.
Although they are one of the youngest teams in the league the boy's have worked really hard this year and are at last reaping the benefits. A special mention to defenders Luke Turley, Jason Heron, mid-fielders Dean Montgomery, Jordan Kennedy, Ryan Cranston and up front Gary Morrison and Ryan Shields, who have been the star men lately.
Manager Mark Logan
Killyleagh U16's
The under 16's are having a mixed season dropping silly points which has put them out of the running for the league. On their day they have the beating of any team in the league and they are the only team to beat runaway leaders Patrician 2-1. The whole team were excellent on that day with Adam Woodside and Gareth Cheevers scoring the goals. Having already drawn with Patrician 0-0 earlier in the season Killyleagh have taken out 4 out of 6 points against Patrician. Against Ardglass they won 2-0 with goals from Adam Woodside and Gary Patton.
With a good cup dray Killyleagh u16's will be hoping to lift Silver ware for their first trophy.
Managers : Paul Sharvin and Micky Murray
Gaelic
Killyleagh Gaelic Athletic Club
Killyleagh Gaelic Athletic Club was originally founded in 1917. Since then it has strived to promote gaelic games in the area drawing members from both sections of the community. Throughout the years the club has had teams at all levels in gaelic football, hurling and camogie and has been involved in the Scor Competitions which involves the cultural side of the GAA. In fact the club boasts an All Ireland title in the Camogie Scor Competition and won Club of the year in 1972 and 1976. The club has experienced mixed fortunes since its foundation and has been out of operation on a few occasions, the most recent occasion being last year. However this year a new committee has been formed and it is hoped to enter football teams at under 12 and under 16 level. A senior team is also being considered. We are currently running training sessions at 2 o’clock every Sunday at the pitch for both juvenile and senior players and coaching sessions are ongoing at St Mary’s Primary School every Tuesday.
Anyone interested in playing gaelic football or joining the club can contact the club secretary John Keenan Tel: 44828492. or E-Mail: johnkeenan1@fsmail.net
Sailing
Strangford Lough: This stunning island sea lough is the largest inlet in the British Isles covering 150 square kilometres. Almost totally landlocked, the lough is approached from the Irish Sea through the eight kilometre long fast running tidal Narrows, which open out into more gentle waters where, it is said, there are 365 islands, one for every day of the year! In reality there are 70. Countless tidal rocky outcrops called pladdies litter the lough and mudflats, marshes, rocks, bays and headlands all go to make this a crusing paradise
East Down Yacht Club (EDYC) has extensive facilities for both cruising and racing. The Club is situated on a 9-acre site, which includes a modern clubhouse, showers, car parking, a boat-park, caravan and camping park, pontoons and slipways. The barbecue and picnic areas provide additional space for relaxed hospitality (weather permitting). The upstairs function room and well stocked bar encourages a relaxed comfortable atmosphere.
Open to everyone, costing only 60p per person (payable at reception). The average age is 50+ and tea and biscuits are served at only 20p each. We have two bowling mats with a further one available from another centre, if required, for friendly matches with other clubs.
