The Bridge Centre Steering Committee

The Bridge Centre Steering Committee is a locally elected committee who work with Down District Council in the development of The Bridge Centre in Killyleagh. The group were originally formed in 1993 as The Killyleagh Community Hall Steering Committee to lobby for the development of a community centre in the town. After six years of hard work the Centre opened in 1999. The Bridge Centre is managed by Down District Council, but partnership with the locally based committee provides a strong local community input to the running of the Centre.
