Sunday 20th September 2009 - a fun day for all the family

1.30PM   TOWN PARADE

Killyleagh welcomes the Vikings, rowing teams, Harley Davidson owners club, bands and local school children as they make their way to the Harbour.

2.00PM   CRAFT FAIR, HANS SLOANE SQUARE

Loads of unusual and attractive items for you to purchase including paintings and prints, jewellery, handmade gemstone watches, childrens books, quilted cushions, fossls & minerals, toys & helium balloons and greetings cards.

2.00PM - 4:00pm    STREET ENTERTAINERS & STORY TELLING, HANS SLOANE SQUARE

Carousel, Train & Donkey Derby

Shows & Storytelling throughout the afternoon

2.00PM   VIKING BOAT RACE BEGINS AT HARBOUR

See teams racing across Killyleagh Harbour in replica Viking Longships competing for the Killyleagh Viking Trophy, the Mixed Trophy, the "Irish Wife" (ladies) Trophy & the Gerry Douglas Trophy, for the team which raises the most for charity.

The Gerry Douglas Trophy is named in honour of the late Councillor who was a great friend of the Viking Festival.

5.00PM   DUCK DERBY, HARBOUR

Purchase your tickets early - Schools Challenge to win a prize of £25 (Ducks £1) or the Golden Duck Trophy & case of wine in the Golden Duck Race (Ducks £10).

 

 

8:00PM   PRIZE CEREMONY, THE DUFFERIN ARMS

Join us as we present the teams with their prizes for taking part & the trophies for the winners.
