Magnus Barelegs Viking Festival, May 19th – 21st September 2008

Over the past 5 years Killyleagh Social Partnership have organised Viking Boat Races to coincide with the Magnus Barelegs Viking Festival, Ireland’s largest Viking Festival. 

The boat race is designed to attract people to our little town thus boosting the local economy while at the same time raising money for good causes.  Alongside the boat race we are once again organising a Craft Fair which will take place on Sunday 21st September and will be located in an area alongside the harbour where the racing will be taking part.  (The craft stalls will be inside 3m x 9m gazebos with closed sides, 3 tables per gazebo.  If you prefer to bring your own table and cover this can also be arranged).

We are raising money for Killyleagh Social Partnership, an organisation that runs cross community events and projects that benefit local people and are asking for a minimum donation of £25 per table towards these causes from each crafter.
